Elena Efimovna Kuzmina

Elena Efimovna Kuz'mina (Russian: Еле́на Ефи́мовна Кузьмина́) is a Russian archaeologist.

She received her Ph.D. in archaeology in 1976 at the Moscow State University, where she is has been a full professor of archaeology since 1988. She is the head scholar of the Russian Institute for Cultural Research (Moscow, Russia). She is also an academician, member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Corresponding Fellow of the German Archaeological Institute and member of the Società Iranologica Europea (Italy).

In 2009, she won Iran's World Prize for book of the year for her book The Origins Of the Indo-Iranians. [1]

Kuzmina has published more than 300 articles and 10 books on the archaeology of the Eurasian Steppes and the origins of Indo-Iranians.
